Kairos Prison Ministry
One Mission, Three Programs
Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. (Kairos) is a lay-led, interdenominational Christian ministry in which men and women volunteers bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to prisoners and their families.
The Kairos programs take the participants on a journey that demonstrates the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Kairos Prison Ministry is Christian in nature, although no religious affiliation is necessary to be a participant.
The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.

Kairos Inside Prison Ministry Program
Kairos Inside is composed of well-organized and well-trained volunteer teams of men and women from the communities surrounding an institution that present an introductory 3-day weekend, described as a short course in Christianity.
PROGRAMME FOR FEMALE FAMILY AND FRIENDS
The Kairos Outside programme is to demonstrate God’s Grace and Love through Christian support for women who have relatives/friends who are or who have been incarcerated.
PROGRAMME FOR YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS
Crime among youthful offenders is the most rapidly growing segment of corrections. This presents a unique opportunity for the Church to be physically present in ministry to this segment of the incarcerated community. Kairos has developed Kairos Torch to facilitate ministry to youthful offenders.
“…I was in prison, and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:36)
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” (Matthew 25:40)
Kairos Brings God’s Light into the Darkness of Prison
Through talks, discussions and Chapel meditations prisoners learn that they are worthy of God’s love, light and grace. That no matter who they are or what they have done, God forgives them.
Kairos Reduces Recidivism “Re-Offense” Rates
In a study of 505 inmates released from Florida prisons, the recidivism rate was 15.7% among those who had participated in one Kairos session, and 10% among those who had participated in two or more Kairos continuing ministry sessions.
Financial Integrity
“May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.” (Psalms 25:21)
Outstanding stewardship, while consistently representing the ministry with integrity, are values held highly at Kairos Prison Ministry International.
Stewardship Core Value
We believe that we must be good stewards of our ministry’s programs, funds and resources, as well as our personal time, talent, and treasures.

All Kairos activities are covered with prayer. You can be a part of that prayer effort. Go to Agape/Prayer support!
Be a Support Volunteer.
Each Kairos weekend has opportunities for outside support, such as baking cookies, writing letters of support, or preparing meals.
Be a Cookie Baker.
Homemade cookies are a tangible expression of Christian love and an indication of God’s concern for a group of people who seldom encounter either in the course of their daily lives. Your loving sacrifice will provide “bread” that shines the Light of God’s Grace into the darkest corners of a prison unit. May God bless you for the gift of baking!
